Vinnie’s Eatery
Highly rated on every review site we can find is Vinnie’s Eatery, an independent restaurant in Cheltenham. We haven’t been for over a year but started going again recently and fell back in love with the ethos, food and interior style of the cafe (the wall murals, boho cushions/ furnishings and hanging plants are beautiful). It’s one of the prettiest and relaxed cafés in Cheltenham – a haven of calm that’s just as good for the soul as it is for your gut!
Since opening in April 2017, Vinnie’s has been feeding moreish, fulfilling dishes, without animal-based products to Cheltonians and visitors from far and wide looking for wholesome, flavourful, healthy food. They’re also conscious about the impact on the environment, operating a ‘zero-waste’ policy.
There are several things that set Vinnie’s apart for us and firstly the menu is completely unique in Cheltenham with the food homemade, we feel the portion sizes are good, the prices extremely fair for the quality (especially for Cheltenham), the menu changes with the seasons and we like the filtered water station. You go and have a delicious, filling meal and come out feeling healthier and cleaner than when you went in. Happy days!
Lets look at the drinks
The price of a fruit smoothie is £3.25, but as smoothies are notoriously expensive in general, we didn’t think £3.25 was bad at all. A tea is £2.50 and flat white £2.50 (absolutely a fair price) but add 25p for dairy free milk alternative (still not bad). Having just come back from drinking dreamy Italian coffee in Rome, we have to say the coffee at Vinnie’s was right up there for us. Worth a shout out from the drink’s menu is the Kombucha, Chai Latte and Turmeric Latte.

On the menu
The menu (correct as of Nov 2019) features 7 meals to choose from and you can order any dish throughout the day. There’s usually a couple of seasonal, homemade treats/cakes on the specials board inside the restaurant, which could be dessert for after your main meal or a treat with coffee.

So far, we’ve noshed 3 of the 7 dishes. See the pictures below of the beautiful dishes of food we’ve enjoyed. Next we’re planning to tick off the BBQ Pulled Shrooms as it sounds divine and the vegan cheese is worth a try.
